Real Madrid-bound teenager Endrick has claimed he is more of a Cristiano Ronaldo admirer than Lionel Messi ahead of his Brazil team’s World Cup qualifier vs. Argentina.
Palmeiras forward Endrick (17) made his debut for his nation in a 2-1 loss against Colombia on Thursday and is expected to be on the pitch vs. Messi’s Argentina at the Maracana tomorrow.
🇧🇷 Endrick: “My dream since I was a kid was to play for Real Madrid. Cristiano Ronaldo is my idol”.
“Messi is a phenomenal guy! But I’m more of a fan of Cristiano…”.

“Messi is a fantastic footballer, but I’m more of a supporter of Cristiano Ronaldo,” Endrick shared.
The forward, who will join Cristiano’s ex-team Real Madrid when he turns 18 next summer, is thrilled to play vs. the 8-time Ballon d’or winner.
“Messi is a legend,” Endrick added. “He’s very good, among the best in the world again. I want to have fun and appreciate the moment of being able to face him, being in the same stadium as him, looking at him from a close range. I only saw Messi in video games. Now I’m seeing him up close; it will be fantastic.”
