Napoli coach Luciano Spalletti has been named the best coach in Serie A for the 2022/23 season.
The award will be presented to the coach before the match of the 38th round of the Italian championship, when Napoli will play against Sampdoria on June 4. This will be his last as a Napoli coach, as he announced that will take a break from coaching next year.
This season, Napoli became champions of Italy for the first time since 1990. The Scudetto was the team’s third in history.
The jury that awarded the best coach in Serie A was made up of sports newspaper directors who evaluated individual coaches on sports-technical criteria and the quality of play of their teams, as well as behavior/fair play during matches.
