The Uruguayan forward will team up again with Lionel Messi, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba
Luis Suarez is very close to a move to Inter Miami, reports The Athletic. The deal will reunite Suarez with his former Barcelona team-mates Lionel Messi, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba, with whom he won four La Liga titles and the Champions League between 2014-2020.
MLS clubs are entitled to three designated players (DPs). Lionel Messi, Sergio Busquets and Gregor finished last season as DPs for Miami, although Gregor could be sold to free up a spot.
Inter Miami allowed striker Joseph Martinez to leave, making room for Suarez. The deal was first reported by the Miami Herald. Suarez, who turns 37 in January, spent the last year at Brazilian club Gremio, where he had 24 goals and 17 assists in 52 games.
