Lukaku shines with four goals against Azerbaijan

The forward wrote his name in the record books for the Red Devils

Belgium beat Azerbaijan 5-0 in the last match for the two teams in Group F of the Euro 2024 qualifiers. The Red Devils striker Romelu Lukaku was above all, scoring the first four goals for his team in the first half.

Belgium started much better match and scored first. Jeremy Doku crossed in the 17th minute and Lukaku started his goal show with a header – 1:0. A key moment came shortly after when Azerbaijan midfielder Edu Pascual picked up two quick yellow cards in just four minutes and was sent off in the 24th minute.

Two minutes later the second goal for Belgium was scored as Doku crossed again, Castagne headed over for Lukaku, who doubled the lead with a fierce right-footed strike.

Four minutes later Lukaku got his hat trick. Wout Faes crossed and the Roma striker headed in again to make it 3-0. In the 37th minute, Lukaku receiving a good pass from Orel Mangala and scored his fourth goal of the game with a nice shot.

The second half was at lower tempo, as Belgium definitely slowed down the pace. Lukaku had no chance to score any more goals as he was replaced at the break by Lois Openda.

For the final goal, Doku broke through from the right and passed to Trossard, who easily scored for the final 5:0.
