PSG threaten to sue Lyon owner Textor

A 4-1 loss at home against Blanc’s ex-club PSG was his final match at the helm of the team, who shared that Laurent left by “mutual agreement.”

Lyon have only 1 point from 4 matches this campaign and is the worst goal difference in the league.

The French team promoted technical director Jean-Francois Vulliez to the head coach position until they found a replacement.

Blanc (57) became Lyon’s boss in October, and the team finished in 7^th place the past season, meaning they will not play European football during the current campaign.

It was his 1^st head coach job in his home country since leaving Paris St-Germain after the 2015-16 campaign, as he worked as a manager at Al Rayyan in Qatar.

Laurent triumphed with 3 Ligue 1 championships during his time in PSG and another at the helm of Bordeaux.
