Former Arsenal defender and current pundit Martin Keown has stated that Harry Maguire is not at all the problem at Manchester United as he pointed out that rival teams can penetrate the midfield line left, right and center.
The Red Devils have had a sluggish start of the new campaign to say the least, barely winning 2 games and losing the other two as they currently sit 11th in the table.
But the biggest concern for Erik Ten Hag’s side is their lack of performance and Keown does not believe the reason behind it is Maguire.
“Some of us talk about driving buses through football teams, and, I think you could do that right now with Manchester United,” Keown said.
“It’s really the midfield that’s the issue and Harry Maguire isn’t necessarily the problem.”
Maguire came on as a second-half substitution against Arsenal and he was largely blamed for the 2 late goals that secured the win for the Gunners.
