The 32-year-old becomes yet another high profile name to join the Saudi League after netting 15 times in 47 appearances for City last campaign.
“To play for Manchester City has been an honour and privilege,” said Mahrez.
“I came to City to win trophies and enjoy my football. I achieved all that and so much more.
“I’ve made a lifetime of wonderful memories. Manchester City will forever be a huge and happy part of my life.”
In his 5-year spell with the Citizens Mahrez won staggering 10 trophies, including a Champions League, 4 Premier Leagues, 2 FA Cups and 3 League Cups.
However, the Algerian was an unused sub in the big finals at the end of last campaign and many believe that has contributed to his decision on leaving the team.
