Logan claimed that his focus is on the rookie camp.

Montreal Canadiens player Logan Mailloux didn’t share details about his meeting with the league’s commissioner, Gary Bettman, and the steps he needs to take to be cleared to play in the NHL.

Speaking with journalists at Canadiens’ rookie camp, the prospect – who the franchise’s VP Jeff Gorton shared is expected to be cleared by the commissioner – shared that his full attention is on the ice.

“I can’t share details about what happened, but I did meet with the NHL, and it seemed that I will have good news soon,” Mailloux shared. “I’d like not to speak about that too much, but I’m hoping to have a result from that soon.

“Right now, my attention is heading to Buffalo with rookie camp and then returning here and having a great minicamp.”

Logan notched 25 goals and earned 53 points in 59 matches in the past campaign with the OHL’s London Knights. Mailloux scored 8 goals and had 24 points in 21 postseason matches.
