Mahrez played more than 200 matches for the Sky Blues for 5 years as he triumphed with the Premier League 4 times and won the treble in the past campaign.
The Algerian winger had 2 years left on his deal, but he wanted to continue his career in Saudi Arabia. João Cancelo returned to Manchester City and will be with the team in Japan as he was on loan at Bayern Munich in the 2nd half of the past campaign.
Riyad is the 2nd star that left the club in the offseason after İlkay Gündoğan inked with Barcelona after his contract expired, and he refused to extend it.
