The Sky Blues finished the group stage in the UCL with a victory.

Manchester City won against Crvena Zvezda 3-2 at Stadion Rajko Mitić in Belgrade despite Pep Guardiola giving a chance to reserve players, but they didn’t disappoint him, and the reigning champions of the tournament ended the group stage with 6 wins from 6 matches.

Micah Hamilton scored the 1st goal in the match in the 19th minute after Matheus Nunes’s assist.

Oscar Bobb doubled the Sky Blues lead in the 62nd minute after Rico Lewis’ assist.

 

In-Beom Hwang made it 2-1 after Osman Bukari’s with less than 15 minutes left until the end of the regular time. However, Kalvin Phillips converted a penalty in the 85th minute for 3-1. Aleksandar Katai netted in the extra time to make the result 3-2.

Manchester City won Group C in the UCL with 18 points from 18 available and is waiting for the draw to learn their opponent in the 1/8 finals.

Crvena Zvezda finished at the bottom of the group with only a point that they won after a 2-2 draw at home against Young Boys, and the Serbians were eliminated from the European tournaments this season.
