Ilkay Gundogan got the win with e brace of goals at Wembley

Manchester City clinched the FA Cup trophy beating their city rival Manchester United 2-1 in the final at Wembley.

Crucial for the Citizens’ win was Ilkay Gundogan who scored both goals for the English champions.

This way Man City rounded up their home double with the Premier League title for 2022/23 season and still dream of a mighty treble if they win the Champions League final versus Inter on June 10.

City started the match on fire and scored the fastest FA Cup final goals inside just 13 seconds.

Long ball forward was brought down by United defender and Gundogan didn’t hesitate to fire a volley inside the right post leaving De Gea stunned.

Man City continued their dominance, but in the 33 minute the referee was called to the monitor by VAR to review a potential handball by Jack Grealish in his own box and penalty was awarded to United. Captain Bruno Fernandes took the responsibility and scored from the spot to make it 1-1.

Just six minutes after the break, though, City got back their lead. De Bruyne crossed from a corner on the edge of the box and Gundogan stroke another half-volley towards the left corner and De Gea was slow to move fast enough as the ball rolled into the net.

This is Man City’s 7th FA Cup trophy and first since 2019. Manchester United last won the cup in 2016.
