Manchester City came from behind to defeat Everton 3-1 at Goodison Park on Wednesday night.
The Citizens, freshly return from the Club World Cup success faced difficulties against a stubborn opposition. The hosts edged in front thanks to Jack Harrison strike just before the half hour mark.

City responded with high pressing, but couldn’t find a way through a stonewall Everton’s defense in the first half.
However, things changed in the second half as Phil Foden equalized in the 53rd minute to ease off the pressure.
Not long after the Citizens were rewarded a penalty and up stepped Julian Alvarez to send the visitors in front.
Bernardo Silva wrapped it all up towards the end for the final scoreline of 3-1.
It was a vital win for Pep Guardiola side, which climbs up to 4th with 37 points, 5 adrift from leaders Liverpool, who have played one more game.
