Manchester City got a crucial 4-1 win against Liverpool in their Premier League derby in round 29. The Reds were able to score first, but the home side made a comeback.
Liverpool were first to strike in the 17th minute. Mohamed Salah was given too much space in the box and he took advantage of it, slotting the ball into the top left corner. VAR checked the situation for offside, but everything was fine with the play.

Right after the kick-off in the second half Manchester City completed their comeback. Riyad Mahrez played the ball into the box where Kevin De Bruyne was in the right place to send the ball past Allison.
In the 54th minute the Citizens made their lead more serious. Ilkay Gundogan slotted the ball into the unguarded net from close range after a rebound from a defender.
15 minutes before full-time City scored their fourth goal. De Bruyne found Jack Grealish in the penalty box and he directed the ball into the bottom right conrner.
Collecting the three points, City are once again five points away from league leaders Arsenal while Liverpool continue their fight to get into the top 4, currently sitting 6th with 42.
