Edin Terzić has emerged as a surprising candidate to replace Erik ten Hag as the manager of Manchester United, according to German media outlet Bild. The 41-year-old Borussia Dortmund coach is reportedly a strong contender for the position should the Manchester United hierarchy decide to part ways with ten Hag.
Terzić has received widespread acclaim this season after leading Borussia Dortmund to the Champions League final. Dortmund’s impressive journey to Wembley included topping the “Group of Death,” which featured Paris Saint-Germain, AC Milan, and Newcastle United, and subsequently defeating PSV Eindhoven, Atlético Madrid, and PSG again in the knockout stages.
Despite having advantage for much of the final against Real Madrid, Dortmund ultimately fell short due to missed opportunities in the final quarter-hour of the match.
