A football manager who gambled nearly £1 million, including bets on his own sport, has secretly been let off by the FA.
The manager had 8 betting accounts and admitted being a gambling addict in evidence. The case also involved two former footballers being accused of blackmailing him.
English FA has been notorious with its harsh suspensions over sports betting from players and figures linked directly to sports and these news, reported by The Athletic is coming as a surprise.

Not long ago Brentford forward Ivan Toney was given an eight-month ban and £50,000 fine for betting on his own club as he was diagnosed as betting addict. Most recently West Ham star Lucas Paqueta was also subject to investigation over betting and the work on his case in ongoing as he was left out of the Brazil national team squad because of the allegations.
