Manchester City began their title defense with a comfortable 3-0 win over Burnley on Friday night.
Erling Haaland opened the scoring as early as the 4th minute as the Norwegian picked up a fine cross from Rodri inside the penalty box.

Last year’s top goal-scorer was at it again in the 36th minute, giving City a commanding 2-0 lead before the interval.
The second half was more or less a procession with the defending champions pacing themselves and establishing full control over the game.
Rodri wrapped up the final scoreline in the 75th minute as he collected a fortunate deflection off Nathan Ake for 3-0 lead.
For Burnley, who clinched the Championship last season with a record-breaking 101 points, it was a reality check as manager Vincent Kompany faced his old club.
It’s the perfect start for Pep Guardiola’s men, who will aim to become the first team in English football history to win 4 League titles in a row.
