Manchester City’s defender Kyle Walker has signed a new contract with the club which will keep him at the Etihad Stadium until 2026. The previous contract of the 33-year-old English international expired after the end of the current season, and Bayern Munich had a strong interest in him during the summer.
However, Josep Guardiola was able to convince the right-back to stay with the Citizens.
City signed Walker from Tottenham in August 2017 for £45m.

“I am excited to sign a new contract. My future is linked to Manchester City and that is the best thing for me. I have enjoyed every moment of the last six years at this fantastic club. I have an amazing coach, great teammates and staff, and our fans are the best. I feel supported at every level,” said Walker, who has won 13 trophies with Manchester City to date.
