Manchester United is already preparing for life after Ruben Amorim, with three Premier League managers reportedly on their shortlist to replace him, according to The Sun. Oliver Glasner of Crystal Palace, Bournemouth’s Andoni Iraola and Brighton boss Fabian Hurzeler are all being considered as potential successors at Old Trafford.
The focus on coaches already working in England is deliberate. United believe that if a change becomes necessary, a manager already familiar with the Premier League will be able to adapt quickly and immediately work on improving results.

The pressure on Amorim intensified after United slumped to a 3:1 defeat against Brentford in London on Saturday – their third league loss in just six games this season. With earlier defeats to Arsenal and Manchester City, and a draw against Fulham, the Portuguese has now failed to string together back-to-back league wins since taking over in November. His overall record remains underwhelming, with just 32 points collected from 35 matches in charge.
The upcoming schedule for United is bringing Sunderland at Old Trafford before the October international break, followed by daunting clashes against Liverpool, Brighton, Nottingham Forest and Tottenham.

Most reports in the British press suggest that United are prepared to give Amorim until he reaches the one-year mark in charge. Beyond that point, the club would be able to part ways with him for a significantly reduced compensation fee, which may prove decisive in their decision.
