Mancini on verge of becoming Saudi Arabia’s national team coach

Roberto Mancini is reportedly set to become the Saudi Arabia’s national team coach.

The Italian stepped away as team boss of the Italian national team and is currently in advanced talks with Saudi’s representatives.

The 58-year-old is the Saudi’s Federation top priority.

Mancini spent 5 years at the wheel of the Italian national team, famously clinching the 2020 Euros. However, there have been some black marks in his spell with Italy failing to qualify for the World Cup for a second consecutive time.

“The Italian Football Federation announces that it has taken note of the resignation of Roberto Mancini from the position of coach of the Italian national team, received late yesterday evening,” a statement read.

Should the talks proceed as planned, Mancini will become the latest high-profile name to head to the Middle East.
