The Toronto Maple Leafs edged out the Tampa Bay Lightning 5-4 in overtime to pull up in the overall playoff result 3-1 on Monday night.

Alexander Kerfoot’s overtime goals, scored on the power play proved decisive for the Toronto team, as they had to overcome a three goals deficit en route to victory.
Austen Matthews had two quick goals, as Noel Acciari also added his name on the scoresheet for a second game in succession. Morgan Rielly tied the scoring at 4-4 at 16:04 in the third period.
The Lightning had build a solid three goal advantage through Alex Killorn’s brace and Mikhail Sergachev’s and Steven Samkos’ strikes. Goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy made 32 saves.
The 4-1 lead the Tampa Bay team got was erased in no time – less than 6 minutes and 20, as the Maple Leafes marched on to a 3-1 lead in the overall result in the playoffs.
