Reus leaves Borussia Dortmund after a distinguished 12-season career, where he made 294 Bundesliga appearances, scored 120 goals, and provided 77 assists. Despite being plagued by injuries, which notably kept him out of Germany’s 2014 World Cup-winning squad, Reus is celebrated as one of Dortmund’s all-time great captains.
At 35, Reus aims to stay healthy and contribute significantly to LA Galaxy, who currently lead the Western Conference and are strong contenders for the MLS Cup. His extensive experience and proven talent will be invaluable to a Galaxy squad that has already impressed this season with a potent attack, scoring 50 goals so far.
