The Blues head coach Enzo Maresca claimed that the news that he will be the next boss of Man City after Pep Guardiola leaves is a hundred percent speculation.
The Italian manager is the ex-assistant to Pep at the Sky Blues, and there have been multiple rumors that the legendary Spanish coach could leave the team from Etihad after the end of the campaign.
Enzo was hired as Chelsea’s head coach during the summer of 2024 and has a deal until 2029, with an option for an additional campaign.
When the reporter asked Maresca if there was any truth to the Sky Blues reports, the head coach shared, “That doesn’t matter to me because I know that these are just speculations. Right now, I don’t have the time to think about such things. ‘
“The most important thing is that I have a deal until 2029, and my focus, as I repeated many times, is to make Chelsea better, and I’m happy to be here. A few days ago, I was in Italy, and there were rumors that I would be the next manager of Juventus. So I don’t pay attention to these kinds of rumors because I know that they are false.”
"It doesn't affect me at all because I know it's 100 per cent speculation"
