Manchester City have officially signed Chelsea’s midfielder Mateo Kovacic for initial £25m.
It’s been an incredible pleasure to play for such a great club & win some of the biggest trophies in the sport.
Chelsea is a club I have loved every second of being at but the time has come for me to move on.

The deal also includes possible £5m in ads-ons if the player performs well.
Kovacic is City’s first signing of the summer after clinching a historic Treble.
“This is a brilliant move for me, and I cannot wait to get started with City,” said Kovacic.
“Anyone who has watched this team under [manager] Pep [Guardiola] knows how good they are – for me, they are the best in the world. The trophies they have won are clear for all to see, but they are also the best footballing side out there.”
Kovacic will be expected to replace Ilkay Gundogan, who chose not to extend his contract with the Citizens, but instead headed to Barcelona.
The Croatian international spent 5 years with Chelsea, winning the Champions League, Europa League, Europe Super Cup and Club World Cup.
