The Dallas Mavericks came out on top in their clash against the Portland Trail Blazers in a comfortable fashion 125-112 on Friday night.
The game was overshadowed by Kyrie Irving’s unpleasant foot injury, which occurred in the second period. The point guard was fouled by Duop Reath and when he fell, his teammate Dwight Powell accidentally fell on his right foot. Irving was taken to the locker room and the extent of the injury is still unknown.

Dante Exum had 23, while Tim Hardaway Jr. added another 20 off the bench.
“He was big,” Mavericks’ coach Jason Kidd said about Exum’s performance. “To have to start and play both ends, I thought he did a great job defensively. We lost (Irving), and Dante did a really good job.”
Anfernee Simons led the way for the depleted Portland squad with 30 points, 8 assists and 5 rebounds.
Shaedon Sharpe added 24 points, nine rebounds and five assists, while Toumani Camara had 14 points and nine rebounds.
