Medvedev defeats Musetti in straight sets in Cincinnati

Daniil Medvedev, world number 3, won easily against world number 18, Lorenzo Musetti, 2-0 sets in a matchup from the 2^nd round at the Masters 1000 in Cincinnati.

The whole match lasted only 1 hour and 19 minutes as Daniil triumphed in the 1^st set after 45 minutes, 6-3, after converting 2 break points from 3 chances. In the 2^nd set, which lasted only 34 minutes, Medvedev again broke his opponent’s serve twice as he didn’t allow to Musetti any break chances.

The only match between Medvedev and Musetti before today was earlier this month in the round of 16 in Toronto, where the Russian won again in straight sets.
