Medvedev goes into R16 in Miami without playing

Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev qualified for the round of 16 at the Miami Masters without playing single minute of tennis after Slovakian Alex Molchan was unable to take the court against the world No. 5 due to injury.

In the last five Round of 32 matches, none of the winners gave a set to their opponent. Quentin Hallis defeated Mackenzie MacDonald 7-6(2), 6-3. Surprisingly, Felix Auger-Aliasim lost 2:6, 5:7 to Francisco Cerundolo.
