The owner also said that the Floridian club would not receive a direct subsidy from the league and that no rules were modified for Leo Messi to be able to sign with the team.
Messi will most likely make his debut at the DRV PNK Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, vs. the Mexican club Cruz Azul on July 21.
