Leo Messi claimed that he is ‘proud’ of his side’s accomplishments during his 1st campaign at Inter Miami despite the Floridian club failing to reach the Major League Soccer playoffs.
His club ended the regular season with a 1-0 defeat against Charlotte FC on Saturday, with Leo being on the pitch from the 1st until the last minute of the clash.
“I am proud of everything the side accomplished this campaign,” Argentina international posted on social media.
“With team’s work and effort, we were able to triumph in the Leagues Cup, achieving the 1st trophy in the history of Inter Miami CF. we played at the final of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, and we were even close to getting into the MLS postseason practically until the final matches.”
Messi added that he is thankful to all the people in Miami and the club for welcoming him with such love, and he is looking forward to the beginning of the next season, where he expects even more accomplishments.
