Milan finish the season in style, beating Verona 3-1

San Siro said 'GODbye' to Zlatan Ibrahimovic

AC Milan defeated Hellas Verona 3-1 in their last home game of the season.

It was also the night when Zlatan Ibrahimovic got his farewell with San Siro as he will now renew his contract with the Rossoneri.

Olivier Giroud opened the scoring just before half-time as Brahim Diaz was fouled in the penalty box and the Frenchman was accurate from the spot.

In the second half Faraoni pulled one goal back for the away side, but with ten minutes to go Rafael Leao showed his magic again and pulled the trigger from outside the box to make it 2-1 before a lightning counter attack couple of minutes later when he made a great combination with Saelemaekers, rounded the goalkeeper and sent the ball into the net for 3-1.


With this loss Verona has 31 points, equal with Spezia, who lost 1-2 against Roma in the same time and both teams will play one game clash to determine who will stay in Italy’s top flight.
