Cole will earn almost 8 million dollars annually, and his contract will expire after the 2030-31 season. The forward is now the 2nd highest-paid player in the Canadian franchise; only captain Nick Suzuki has a higher salary who makes a little more than that.
Cole (22) played only 46 matches last campaign after shoulder surgery at the beginning of the year but still finished with 26 goals and 36 points for the Canadiens.
Habs drafted him 15th overall in 2019, and he has 53 goals and 84 points in the 123 matches he played for the franchise in the NHL.
