Memphis star guard Ja Morant has made a public statement, where he apologises for the mistakes he has made, referring to the shot-gun incident on March 4, which forced the NBA officials to act and subsequantly give the 23-year old an eight-game suspension.
“I’m completely sorry for that,” Morant said after practice. “So, you know, my job now is, like I said, to be more responsible, more smarter, and don’t cause any of that no more.”
The eight game period ended with Memphis win over Golden State Warriors on Saturday, but questions are still being asked when would Morant make his comeback to the floor. Head-coach Taylor Jenkins expressed his hopes that Morant, would be able to play in Grizzlies’ next game against Houston on Wednesday.
But the 23-year old underlined his status is still “in the air”.
“Once I feel like I’m back in rhythm and in good condition to go back out there, I’ll be back out there,” he commented.
