Spain showed no mercy against Georgia and won 7:1 their Euro 2024 qualifying match in Group A. The whole Spanish team showed great football, but the main hero of the night was Alvaro Morata, who scored a hattrick in 44 minutes of play.
The Atletico Madrid forward opened the scoring in the 22 minute as he found some space in the box and pulled the trigger. Just five minutes later Kvirkvelia scored an own goal to double Spain’s lead.
In the 38 minute the away side got their third goal through Dani Olmo before Morata’s brace five minutes before the break.
In the 49 minute Chakvetadze pulled one back for Georgia, but that only angered the Spanish side and they scored three more goals. First Morata got his hattrick in the 66 minute and 120 seconds later Nico Williams scored for 6:1.
The final score was made by Lamine Yamal who send the ball inside the left post. With the win Spain are second with 6 points behind Scotland with 12 points and a game more than the Spaniards.
