Jose Mourinho has slammed Maurizio Sarri’s comments that the upcoming clash with Roma should be viewed as a friendly game.
Sarri was displeased with the scheduling programme after his team’s victory over Feyenoord on Thursday before a highly anticipated clash with Roma on Sunday afternoon.
“Roma can afford a friendly on Thursday and we played a war tonight, there is a fundamental difference.” he said.
Mourinho, as usual, was quick to respond and did not shy away from criticism.
Maurizio Sarri: "Roma's match against Slavia Praha was like a friendly."
José Mourinho: "I always respect my opponent. Maybe this mentality is what makes the difference between a manager that has won 26 titles and another that has barely won any."

“I think that if someone ought to feel offended about that comment, it is Slavia Prague and not me.” the ‘Special One’ said.
“It is as if he said Slavia have no quality. I always respect my opponents. Perhaps this is the difference in a coach who has won 26 titles and another that has barely won anything: that kind of mentality.”
“Every game must be taken seriously, there are no friendlies. I would love to hear the reaction of the Lega Serie A, because that was an objective and direct criticism. So I wait.”
