Andy Murray has qualified for the 1/4 finals of the ATP Challenger Tour 175 after a difficult 6-4, 5-7, 6-3 over Frenchmen Laurent Lokoli.
The 35-year old secured the victory with his 6th match points and has now a two wins in succession for the first time since Indian Wells in March.
The 52nd ranked Murray seemed all set for a clean victory after taking a 5-2 lead in the second set ensuring himself two match points. However, the experienced Brit missed both and went on to lose 4 consecutive games to allow Lokoli to draw the game.
In the third set Murray took early control, but towards the end there were still doubts if he would make it, as the three-times Grand Slam winner missed another match point.
Despite everything, the 35-year prevailed and will face another Frenchmen in th 1/4 finals – Luca Van Ascche.
