Andy Murray’s Wimbledon farewell didn’t start in the best way possible as he was eliminated of the men’s doubles in the 1st round alongside his older brother Jamie with a 7-6(6), 6-4 defeat to Australians Rinky Hijikata and John Peers.
Andy Murray’s tribute video for his final Wimbledon left me in tears
He fought for the dreams of a nation for so many years
When he got older, he fought with a metal hip
He became a symbol for every underdog in this world
Thank you, Sir Andy Murray🥹

Without a doubt not at his best due to back pain, Andy Murray had to trust his serve as he battled through the consecutive-sets loss that potentially leaves him with 1 game left to compete at Wimbledon.
The 2-time Wimbledon singles champ withdrew from his 1st-round singles game 2 days ago, having not recovered in time from a spinal cyst surgery that left him with reduced feeling in his right leg.
However, Andy’s choice to play with his brother at the Grand Slam on grass in the doubles make the fans excited.
Despite the elimination, we will see Murray at least 1 more time as he will play alongside Emma Raducanu after the 2 were given a wild card for the mixed doubles as the competition begins tomorrow.
