After needing 4 hours to eliminate 36th in the world Mariano Navone yesterday in the ¼ finals, the Spaniard had a slow start vs. Duje and had a break down in the 2nd set before turning things in his favor.
“Ajdukovic had 1 of the best backhands that I competed versus,” Rafa shared. “It was very, very difficult, without a doubt, but I found a way to survive and to advance to a match for a title after a long time without being in this position. So that’s very positive, and I’m very happy with what I achieved.”
Rafa will face world number 51 from Portugal Nuno Borges at the final tomorrow as the Spaniard is playing at the competition in Sweden for the 1st time since he triumphed as a 19-year-old in 2005.
