Rafael Nadal was unavailable to compete at 2023 Wimbledon, but the champ made him cheerful. Carlos Alcaraz won his 1st Wimbledon title, becoming the 3rd Spanish player to triumph in the Grand Slam on grass in London after Rafa and Manolo Santana. Nadal wrote on social media, congratulating Carlos on defeating Novak Djokovic.
Alcaraz won against the 7th time champ in 5 sets after almost 5 hours on the court and lifted his 2nd Grand Slam title. The Spaniard lost the 1st set but won the tiebreak in the 2nd set to remain in the clash.

Alcaraz also won the 3rd set, but the Serbian got the 4th to force a 5th set. The world number 1 won the crucial points with an early break that he defended until the end to lift a 2nd Major crown in his career.
