The best Spanish tennis players will form a double in the Paris tennis tournament

Rafa Nadal and Carlos Alcaraz will team up to play doubles at the Paris Olympic Games this year, as confirmed by the Royal Spanish Tennis Federation (RFET).

Nadal, a seasoned Olympian with a gold medal from the 2008 Beijing Games, will join forces with Alcaraz, who will be making his Olympic debut fresh off his recent French Open victory.

Despite concerns about Nadal’s fitness due to ongoing injury issues, the 14-time French Open champion is set to compete alongside the 21-year-old Alcaraz, as announced by Spain’s national team coach David Ferrer. Ferrer confirmed the eagerly anticipated partnership, although the second doubles pair for the team has yet to be finalized.

In addition to Nadal and Alcaraz, the Spanish Olympic tennis squad will include Pablo Carreno Busta, Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, and Marcel Granollers, who is currently ranked second in the world in doubles.

The tennis events at the Paris Olympics will be held at the iconic Roland Garros from July 27 to August 4.
