Napoli win 2-1 against Braga after late drama in Portugal

Napoli started the new season in the Champions League with a hard victory, 2-1, vs. Braga at Estádio Municipal de Braga.

In the 1^st half, in which both teams had fantastic opportunities to score, only Napoli did it in the extra time of the half after the ball landed in Giovanni Di Lorenzo’s feet and he scored a very beautiful goal in the top right corner to give the lead to the visiting team.

In the 57^th minute, Victor Osimhen struck from a long-range, and the ball went inches wide of the right post as we could have witnessed a phenomenal goal.

Piotr Zielinski also had the chance to double the lead of the Italian side in the 73^rd minute, but he mishits the ball and didn’t find the net.

In the 84^th minute, Bruma made it 1-1. The Braga player netted a header after fantastic Rodrigo Zalazar Martinez’s assist that left Napoli’s goalkeeper Alex Meret without a chance to save his shot.

However, Napoli returned its lead in the 88^th minute after Sikou Niakate netted an own goal as he tried to block Piotr Zielinski’s shot.
