Victor Wembanyama will be part of the upcoming finals in the French league, and after that, almost 100% San Antonio Spurs will draft him with the 1st pick at the 2023 NBA Draft on June 22nd.
And the French superstar can play for the 1st time in Sacramento instead of Las Vegas at the beginning of July.
Adam Silver shared that this will be fine and has no problem with Victor debuting in Sacramento instead of Las Vegas, which holds the biggest summer league.
“All summer leagues are the league summer leagues,” the commissioner shared. “I like the Sacramento summer league very much. I remember when Sacramento owner Vivek Ranadive first came to the NBA and claimed he was very enthusiastic about doing this. So I said, ‘As long as you have enough other franchises who support it and players who want to participate in it, it will be excellent.”
The Spurs will play in the California Classic in Sacramento this July. Will Victor Wembanyama play?
