NBA decided to fine 750K dollars Dallas Mavericks for not playing healthy starters in their last game in the regular season on April 7.
Mavs had a chance to clinch the play-in with a victory but did not play stars like Kyrie Irving, Tim Hardaway Jr., Josh Green, Christian Wood, and Maxi Kleber. As a result, Chicago Bulls defeated them 115-112.
The biggest star of the franchise Luka Doncic played against the Bulls but for less than 13 minutes before he was subbed.
Dallas head coach Jason Kidd said that it is not his decision.
“The Dallas Mavericks’ decision to restrict key players from fully participating in an elimination game last Friday against Chicago undermined the integrity of our sport,” Joe Dumars, NBA executive vice president/head of basketball operations, announced. “The Mavs’ actions failed our fans and our league.”
