“Without a doubt, we want to thank the Patriots for selecting Jack,” Tooson announced. “Jones is an immense talent and looks forward to continuing his career in the NFL and helping on his next organization as soon as Sunday.”
The CB’s role diminished over the past 2 matches, and Jones noticeably wasn’t engaged with teammates on the sideline most of the time – sitting on the bench away from the action while the other cornerbacks were waiting for an opportunity to present themselves in the sideline and to enter the field.
Patriots manager Bill Belichick had been asked 2 times over the past 14 days if Jones’ engagement was meeting the organization’s desired level.
“I’m not going to share any of my players’ personal situations with the media,” the New England head coach claimed in the morning.
