NE Patriots WR Kayshon Boutte was arrested today in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, over allegations of illegal gambling while he was part of the LSU.
Louisiana State Police shared the charges vs. the wide receiver (21) feature a felony count of computer fraud and a misdemeanor count of gambling prohibited for persons under 21. The police added that additional charges could be added.
The authorities found that Baton gambled on sports for over a year between April 2022 and May 2023, as, at the time, he was under 21 years old. He used an alias to get around the age requirement for betting in Louisiana.
The Police found that he wagered on NCAA football matches as 6 of them were on his football program.
The National Football League refused to comment about the Patriots’ wide receiver arrest.
