The Pelicans guard most likely will play today against Philly.

New Orleans Pelicans star CJ McCollum, who has missed the past 12 matches because of a collapsed lung, almost certainly will be on the court today against the Philadelphia 76ers.

A few days ago, it became clear that the guard plans to play this week. Before upgrading him to probable today, his team listed him as questionable for the clash against the 76ers.

CJ played only 6 matches before being sidelined with his lung problem. McCollum has been averaging almost 22 points, 6 assists, and 5 boards in over 34 minutes per game since the beginning of the new season.

New Orleans’ record with him on the court is 4-2 and collapsed to 5-7 without McCollum. However, the guard will not travel to Chicago for the Pelicans’ next match in the league on Saturday as the franchise plans to be careful with him and allow him to rest more since he is back in his best shape.
