New York City FC signed attacking midfielder Richard Ledezma on loan from Dutch giants PSV Eindhoven for the upcoming 2023 season, the MLS club announced.
The 22-year-old Ledezma, who was born in Phoenix, Arizona, made three appearances in the Europe’s secondary club competition – Europa League, this past season, seeing his market value steadily increase to $850K.
Ledezma needs more regular playing time, and NYC FC is willing to give him an opportunity to compete for starting minutes.
According to experts, he is an exciting young talent that should provide European experience to a rather young and fresh NYC FC club looking to rely on inexperienced players to carry the load.
PSV Eindhoven, one of the best clubs in the Netherlands, are the 1988 European Cup winners.
