The NY Post 1st reported the information about Daniel being cleared by the medical staff.
The Giants quarterback was dealing with a neck problem and was a limited participant in training in the last 2 weeks. The final steps before he was cleared to play were passing tests by the medical team and being allowed for contact.
Jones’s return comes just in time for the franchise. Reserve QB Tyrod Taylor left New York’s last clash with a rib problem. Taylor spent the night at the medical center, where he was tested further.
Undrafted rookie Tommy DeVito finished the match during the weekend and went 2-of-7 for minus-1 yards in his debut in the National Football League.
