Newcastle fan was stabbed after being attacked in Milan last night ahead of the Champions League game against AC Milan on Tuesday night.

The Premier League club are aware of the incident and are working with local authorities to solve the case. A 58-year-old man, who was planning to attend the match with his son, has been hospitalized but is in a stable condition.

Meanwhile, Newcastle could be fined by UEFA after they arrived late in Milan last night. Clubs must be present for media duties between midday and 8pm in the city their game is about to be played, but owing to bad weather in the area the team’s flight was delayed.
