Newcastle destroyed Sheffield United 8-0 at Bramall Lane as the Magpies ended a very dark series of 3 defeats in a row in the Premier League.

Sean Longstaff scored the 1st goal in the 21st minute after Anthony Gordon’s assist. Exactly 10 minutes later, Dan Burn doubled the result for the visiting team after Kieran Trippier’s assist. Trippier also gave the assist for the 3rd goal of Newcastle netted by Sven Botman in the 35th minute.

In the 2nd half, Newcastle scored 5 more goals as each of them were netted by a different player – Callum Wilson, Anthony Gordon, Miguel Almiron, Bruno Guimaraes, and Alexander Isak. Kieran Trippier gave 1 more assist in the 2nd half as he finished the match with 3 assists before being substituted in the 70th minute and replaced by Valentino Livramento.
