The match will be held on March 8th.
Anthony (27-3, 24 KOs) had been set to face Deontay Wilder in a long-awaited bout on March 9th in Saudi Arabia, but Deontay lost his fight in December to Joseph Parker. At the same event, the English boxer defeated Otto Wallin with a knockout in the 5th round.
The December 23rd card in the Middle Eastern country was meant to set up the Anthony – Deontay fight, but now plans have changed, and we can watch an even more interesting clash.
“I’m on a journey, and I’m continuing to stay focused,” Joshua admitted after the victory against Otto. The boxing match was his debut with trainer Ben Davison. “I don’t celebrate when we triumph in these bouts. I celebrate when I secure the titles.”
