Cleveland Browns star RB Nick Chubb was carted off the field with a serious left knee injury he picked up in the second quarter of the game against Pittsburgh Steelers that Browns lost 26-22 on Monday night.
Steelers Minkah Fitzpatrick dove in low for a tackle at the end of a 5-yard run early in the second quarter and crashed into Chubb’s legs as Chubb’s knee buckled underneath him.
After the play, a teammate grabbed Chubb’s hand to try to help him get back on his feet, and Chubb shook his head while clutching his left knee, rollin over onto his side.

It is a nightmare coming back for Chubb, because he suffered a major injury to the same knee in 2015 while in college at Georgia — a dislocation with three torn ligaments. After the game Browns coach Kevin Stefanski confirmed that Chubb’s season is over.
